Milton ; Chittenden County, Vermont 21 June; Left Campground, Hwy. 9N to 74 east to Fort Ticonderoga Ferry ($6.00) to Vermont. We were the only one's crossing at this time. This ferry has a cable on each side to guild it across Lake Champain, 7 min. ride. Then Hwy. 74 to Hwy. 7 to Milton, Vermont. Found library and county courthouse. Did research of old records of the Clark family. There were some Marriages $ Births of Clarks, but no names that Linda has. This courthouse has records back to1700's. We then took Hwy. 7 north to 104A, to 104 east to 100 to 12 and Elmore State Park, Lot 16,($14.00) had a good site at the top of a mph or less on the roads we traveled. At the Milton courthouse we looked at Index of births and deaths, 1870–1935. Births, Deaths & Marriages 1837–1882. Is my gr-gr-grandfather Kathy Clark Jennings - Toledo

Jan 28, 2001 - From Ray Booth ----- I don't think this is my family related I just found the GENFORUM.COM today and posted a query on Zadoc Clark and Polly East. They were my GGG grandparrents. Zadoc was born on Oct 8, 1807 in North Carolina and died May 12, 1883 in Cass County, Michigan. Polly was born March 29, 1807 in Tennessee (Her older siblings were born in Virginia) died Oct 30, 1883 in Cass County. Both are burried in the Birch Lake Cemetery in Calvin Township, Cass County, Michigan. Their marrage was recorded on Nov 22, 1836 in Cass county. However, the were married on the trail from Richmond, Indiana to Cass County. They were Quakers, and her brother founded the Friends Church in Cass County. I Have quite a lot on the family of Polly, back to about 1550, but nothing on Zadoc. I do have a fair ammount on the Clarks down to the present time. Zadoc and Polly had four children, William , S., Sally, and Aseneth Harris Clark. My line is thru William to his son Austin William, Charles Lester, Leah Iren (Married Elston R. Booth) to me. I live in Elkhart, Indiana, just across the line from Cass County. If you would like more information, I am more than willing to share. Ray Booth

Mar. 12, 2002 - From - Kathleen Jennings Linda, I just saw your posting on the Clark boards and I am very interested to hear what you might have on Zadoc Clark. My gr gr grandfather was Zedic? Clark, but we have found many different spellings of his first name, and I'm wondering if this is the same man. Can you tell me where he is from and if he had children? You say he was married to a Polly? Kathy Clark Jennings Toledo, OH
