    Will of "Zachariah Heard of Sudbury ... Yeoman being advanced in years", dated 20 Apr 1758, proved 4 Jan 1762, names children of my daughter Mary Coggin deceased viz't her sons Thomas Coggin & Henry Coggin, her daughters Priscilla Coggin & Abigail Coggin; son in law Josiah Coggin; daughter Hannah Grout of Worcester; son in law John Gould; my grandson Oliver Gould; granddaughter Silence Gould; Amos Browne a young man that I brought up and that now lives with me; son Richard Heard. Son Richard to be executor.
    31 Dec 1761: Assent of children and grandchildren of Zachariah Heard late of Sudbury dec'd to proving of will. Signed by Hannah Grout, Silence Gould, Amos Brown.

  4. 4.0 4.1 One would assume that the birth estimate is based on an age at death? But no death record or gravestone has been located. The probate file shows that Zachariah died by 31 Dec 1761, so the date here, 27 Dec 1761, found confidently asserted in secondary sources, seems appropriate but no basis is known.
