Wayland is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The town was founded in 1638, and incorporated in 1780 and was originally part of neighboring Sudbury (incorporated 1639). As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 13,943.

In 2021, Niche.com ranked Wayland as #1 on their list of "Best Places to Raise a Family in Massachusetts", #8 on their list of "Best Places to Raise a Family in America", and #2 on their list of "Best Suburbs to Live in Massachusetts".
