Winifred Wagner

FREMONT -- Winifred Mae (Klein) Wagner, 93, of CO Rd 41, Fremont, di ed at Briarfield of Milan on Oct. 23, 2003. She was born Nov. 23, 19 09 in Bellevue OH. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1928 and Bo wling Green Teacher College in 1941. She received her master's degree in p sychology from Bowling Green in 1951. She became the first school Psycholo gist in the Bellevue School system. She also taught elementary school in t he Rocky River, Bellevue and Fremont School districts, spending most of h er years in Lutz Elementary in Fremont. She was a member of Faith Luther an Church, the Naomi Circle, and a former Sunday School teacher. She w as a former member of the Bellevue Business and Professional Women's Assoc iation and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was also a member of the National Retir ed Teachers Association, the OH State Teachers Retirement Association a nd the Harrison Trail Farm Council. She was a devoted wife, mother and gra ndmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart Wagner, whom she marri ed August 19, 1950 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue OH, her pare nts Carl P Klein and Catherine (Hager) Klein, and her brother Edgar Klei n. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Steven) Bishop of Findlay a nd Christine (Gary) Wolf of Milan, sister Marjorie Danklefsen of Bellev ue and brother Robert Klein of Lakeside. She had six grandchildren John, A nna, Adam, Lauren, Dionne and Shauna and three great grandchildren. Funer al services were held Oct. 25 in Fremont. Burial was in Four Mile House Ce metery. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Stein Hospice of S andusky and Bridge Hospice of Findlay.
