Wilson Thomas Fisher, Sr., passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at his home in Granger Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Wilson was born on November 4, 1914, in Dallas County to William and Effie Mae (Banks) Fisher. He lived his entire life in Dallas County. Wilson served for four years in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life, Anetta, on October 29, 1932. They have one son named Wilson, Jr.

Wilson was a carpenter and built many homes and buildings in Dallas County. He was a very hard worker who put his heart and soul into every project. Wilson and Anetta enjoyed going to furniture auctions and spending time with family.

Wilson is survived by wife Anetta, son, Wilson, Jr. (Virginia) Fisher of Grimes and his sisters, Laura Smothers of Des Moines and Lena Howell of St. Louis, MO and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
