Sun City - Wilma E. Whitmore, 89, died Monday, July 23, 2007, at Menifee Valley Medical Center. Born March 19, 1918, in Concordia, Kan., she lived in Sun City afte residing in San Marcos for 15 years. She was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William "Bruce" Whitmore of Sun City; sons and daughters in-law William and Tas Whitmore of Huntington Beach, and David and Janet Whitmore of Lordsburg, N. M.; daughter and son-in-law, Harriet and Kevin Brown of Commerce City, Colo.; sister Nella Axtel of Cameron Park; sister-in-law, Virginia George of Orosi; and three grandchildren. Private services were held with private internment at Riverside National Cemetery. The family suggests donations to the Crystal Cathedral ... Garden Grove, Ca. Evans-Brown Mortuary in Sun City is handling arrangements.
