William "Bill" Wobbema, 81, of Sioux City died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, in an assisted living center. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Revs. Dr. John Meyer and Kathy Wicks officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Mr. Wobbema was born Dec. 24, 1917, in Orange City, Iowa to Jacob and Lyda (Bomgaars) Wobbema. He graduated from Sheldon High School and served in the United States Army. He married Pearl Mae Carl on April, 8, 1939, in Elk Point, S.D. He was the founder of William's TV and Appliance. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Dutch International Society. Survivors include his wife; two daughters and their husbands, Merrilee and Russell Anderson of Kansas City, Mo. and Penny and Raymond Monlux of Sioux City; two brothers, Henry, his twin, of Waco, Texas and Bernard of Lakewood, Calif.; a sister, Kathleen Lamendola of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Trinity Lutheran Church.
