William (Wathen), of Bristol, b. ca. 1595; bur. at St. Werburgh, Bristol 15 Oct. 1667, "of St Leonards" He m (1) Rachel -----, who was buried at St. Stephen, Bristol, 2 March 1626/7; m. (2) Joan Phippes at St. Werburgh, Bristol, 22 April 1628. He was apprenticed as a joiner to his father, 30 Sept. 1612, for seven years and was admitted a burgess of Bristol on 2 Oct. 1626. He resided in the Bristol parishes of St. Stephen, St. Werburgh, and St. Leonard.
