Signed sealed published & declared by the above named William Wardwell to be his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the Testator. Wm. B. Webber D. Dunbar Jr. John A. Heath"

In his Probated Will it states that his property was bounded by "Morses Cove, so called, Southe{sic} Westerly by land of Ralph Devereux Southe Easterly by land of William Hutchings & Nothe {sic}Easterly by land of Ebenezer Hutchings, Daniel Clements & Joseph Farman{?)". He split his acreage this way: To his beloved wife Deborah, 27 acres the dwellings house and the smaller barn-shore property Frederic-16 acres-shore property George W.-15 acres-shore property John-12 acres Sarah-5 acres Paulina-8 acres Aseneth [sic]-8 acres Ebenezer-the northerly half of the dwelling house with Porch. Hannah-4 acres-largest barn Lewis-5 acres Elizabeth 5 acres

This adds up to 103 acres. The lot was supposed to be 110 acre lot. I suppose the remainder we can assume would perhaps go to Ebenezer for his half of the dwelling house with Porch. -Donna Hoffmann PO Box 92, Bucksport, ME 04416
