I have a beautiful gold John C. Duben (Canton, OH) pocket watch (with gold chain and brown tiger eye stone fob) engraved "W.H. Turbett, from Mother March 17, 1894". That is logically her date for his 21st birthday. It was given to Homer Braught and then to me (as the only male Braught of my generation at that time). When wound (which it should be twice monthly if not used daily), it still keeps good time and jewelers admire it. Jewelers all advise that it should not be oiled unless used daily. Notice that I show 18 March 1894 as his birthdate.
