W. Stewart Turbett (see marriage record source) was William (Bill), according to Gene and Ralph Braught and records from Arnold Braught. WPA Cemetery Records for Winterset Cemetery show Sarah Turbett, d. 17 Nov. 1869 age 59 and Wm.S. Turbett d. 21 Sep 1873, age 51 (born 1822). No clarity on who is Sarah, but 1880 Census for Tama Co. shows family of Wm. S. Turbett, 59 and Sarah A. Turbett, 52 with 6 children ages 19-8 yrs., strongly suggesting this is not the same family as our W.S. Turbett. This matter will require regular attention if researched further. 

The 1870 Census in Centre Twp. Winterset, Madison Co, Iowa, shows William Turbet, then age 50 (born 1820 In PA) living with Martha (age 29 b. IN),  and her three daughters; Ida 9, Ara 7, and Nettie 5 (born in IA but older two sisters born in Indiana. .

At the Des Moines Woodland Cemetery there is also buried April 09, 1905 a Lydia J. Turbett.
