"William L. "Bill" Seaver

"Plattsburgh, Mr. William L. "Bill" Seaver, 83, of Pike Street, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center.

"He was born in Washington, DC on July 14, 1918, the son of William E. and Edith (Feeman) Seaver.

"Bill served in the U.S. Air Force 1941 to 1963 retiring as a Command Pilot at the rank of Lt. Colonel.

"He then taught at Beekmantown Central School retiring in 1983.

"Bill was a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Plattsburgh Lodge 621, a life member of the Elks National Foundation, the American Legion Post 20, a life member of the American Military Retirees Association, the New York State Retired Teachers Association, and he was an avid follower of financial markets.

"He married the former Margaret Dunbar in Alburg, Vt. on June 21, 1958. He was predeceased by her on Aug. 12, 2000.

"Bill is survived by a son, William M. Seaver of Crescent City, Calif.; a stepson, Louis M. Lalla of Antelope, California; and a stepdaughter and her husband Deborah I. and Steven (Lalla) Beal of Larkspur, Calif.

"There will be no calling hours. Following cremation, entombment will be in Arlington National Cemetery with his wife, Margaret. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh."
