An obituary for Margaret L. Seaver was published in the Plattsburgh (NY) Press Republican" newspaper on 13 August 2000. It reads:

"Margaret L. 'Peg' Seaver

Plattsburgh -- Mrs. Margaret L. 'Peg' Seaver, 76, of Pike St., died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000 at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility.

"She was born in Syracuse on Jan. 28, 1924, the daughter of the late Carroll F. and Emma M. (Mills) Dunbar.

"Margaret had been the secretary to the Commissioner of Clinton County Social Services. She was a former member of the Ladies of the Elks Plattsburgh Lodge 621 and was a member of the American Legion Post 20 Ladies Auxiliary.

"Margaret is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. William L. Seaver, USAF, retired, of Plattsburgh, whom she married June 21, 1968, in Alburg, Vt.; a son, Louis W. Lalla of Antelope, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah I. (Lalla) and Stephen Beal of Larkspur, Calif.; a stepson, William M. Seaver of Crescent City, Calif.; and a brother, Richard M. Dunbar of Issaquah, Wash.

"At Margaret's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Following cremation, entombment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh."
