Research Notes (in progress)
- studied at Georgetown University to be a Jesuit
- married 15 Feb 1818 Mary Cecilia Johnson, 2 children
- married [date unknown] Henrietta Boarman, 5 children
- became mother's sole support upon the 1804 death of his father
- Family tradition per David Steele, Jun 2013: "He was questioned after President Lincoln's assassination. We were taught the suspicion was unfounded - that he had innocently introduced John Wilkes Booth to Dr Mudd after church because Booth was looking for horses and Dr Queen knew his neighbor had some to sell. New evidence shows he and Mudd were involved in the earlier plot to kidnap Lincoln to force a negotiated peace."
