William Henry Pollard was sent to a farm in Saskatchewan to learn farming by his stepmother after the death of his mother and his father. The stepmother had paid for a year in full. William had to sleep in a loft, he arrived in August and had porridge for three meals a day. He asked for his money back and was told to get off the farm. He made his way to Kamloops where he worked for the CPR. Dates please. His sister, Constance, came from Newcastle to keep house for him. She became engaged and went back to England to buy her trousseau. On the boat she met Cecil Berry who was returning to England to marry. Cecil and Constance married in Croydon? date? William enlisted in the Canadian Army and fought at Ypres where his group was decimated. There he became a Christian Scientist. Clara Catcheside joined him in this study. Aunt Gaga lived in Kamloops and was a practitioner. Loree and Trevor were brought up in Christian Science. The death date is from the B.C.
