Facts and Events
Name William Outridge
Gender Male
Marriage 2 Feb 1741 Ickleford, Hertfordshire, Englandto Eliza Maria Griffin

William Outridge's origins have yet to be established. One possibility is that he was the son of John Outridge; whilst no plausible baptism has been found, John's brother William Outridge left a will written in 1766 which refers to his nephew William son of his brother John.

This William's first confirmed sighting is on 2nd February in 1741 at Ickleford in Hertfordshire when he married Eliza Maria Griffin. They appear to have had five children baptised at Ickleford between 1743 and 1754, although two of the children died young.

William has yet to be traced for certain after 1754.

Three possible burials have been found at Ickleford:
    1763 / William Outridge... July 8
    Burials 1766 / William Outredge... Decemb[e]r 5
    1794 / William Outredge Febr[uar]y 13th

The William Outridge who was buried in 1766 can be ruled out - he left a will which strongly suggests he was childless - it names his wife Mary, but then leaves his estate after Mary's death to a variety of nieces and nephews.
