Note that the census list him as Nola W. NIX; review to see where I found William Noile, maybe William is the middle name. See the 1880 census, that was the one done by his parents and it shows William N. NIX. so assume that is correct. He must have used Noile as the primary name during his adult life.

Also see the WW I draft registration card, it is made out to Nolie William But I am staying with William Nolie because it sounds more fluid. I belive that was what his mother named him, and that he used Nolie.

I found your entry on I am sending information on Pinkey Nix, daughter of Nancy Lela and William Nolie Nix. Pinkey Lee Nix died in 1974. She was married to Rev. Mark Morrow (died 1972-73). One of their sons was Flavius Morrow, born 9-7-29 died July 1983. I have more information on this family such as sibling names, birth dates and death dates. If you would like, I could send it to you. Pinkey Lee Nix was my grandmother.

Dalton, It was a surprise to get a reply back so quickly about Nix & Hopper. No, I did not ask about Irene Nix Pate because I knew her and more about her than Ola Nix Singleton. I read the names of the brothers of Jennings D. Nix and I believe Ola Nix Singleton's father was Nolie Nix but I am not 100% sure. I am going to North Alabama to a Kelsoe Family Reunion this coming weekend and I hope to find some of Doyle & Ola's children or someone else to get information. I need it for my records as well. I remember talking with Doyle and Ola on many, many occasions but you know how that goes all the information a person learns is imbedded so deeply in the mind that it will not float to the surface. To me, she was such a beautiful lady inside and outside. Hope to hear from you soon, Chris

NOTE; I have a mixture of information on his name. William Nolie or reversed Noile William. In the 1880 censes when he was 5 his family listed him as William N. Allso I have notes from g-grandaughter who called him William Noile, but all his latter in life records show either Noile or Noile William. I assume that he perfered to be called Noile not William, but that his legal name was William Noile.
