Other? Notes

!BIRTH-MARRIAGE-DEATH: Research of Betty Brown; Felton, PA Research of Raymond I. Mummert (deceased); in Historical Society of York Co., PA; in Mummert Family File. BIRTH: Orphan's Court Record for William Mummert; York County Courthouse; Docket H-217; dated 1800. CENSUS: 1820 - Probably listed in the 1820 US Census for Heidelberg Twp., York, PA. Source Notation: 0-1-1-2-0-1/0-0-1-0-1. NOTE: This isn't a perfect match for this family but the location and general description is good. There is one extra boy that I can't account for and I have several girls, probably married or died, who don't show. BURIAL: Blair's Meeting House Cemetery; Heidelberg Twp., York, PA; records in the Historical Society of York Co., PA. MILITARY: Served in the Revolutionary War as a private in the York County Militia, 3rd Company, 5th Battalion, Captain William Hafer's Company. OCCUPATION: Farmer. DEATH-ESTATE: The following excerpt from the York County Orphan's Court pertains to the heirs of William, Jr. This is from Book N, page 420, written August 08, 1822. The important words are: "That he left to survive him a widow named Mary and ten children lawful issue, "towit," Christian, the petitioner; Adam; Martin; Jacob; Samuel; Catharine wife of Jacob Sweitzgar; Mary wife of Andrew Wolf; Elizabeth wife of John Bare; Christina wife of John Grove and Susanna Mummert." NOTE: I have always believed that this document is in error in the mentiion of Martin, whom I believe to be Matthias Mummert who married Catharine Myers. This needs to be proven but Matthias is assigned to this family at this time.
