VA - ca 1795 Anson County, NC) with whom she had several children, including Miles W. Mask, (1794-?), who married Louise Boggan. The children of William Morris and Martha Nance were: 1. Patsey; 2. William Airley (1800-after 1844) Will of William Morris of Anson Co., NC made Jan 2, 1804, probated Jan Court 1804, names wife, Patsy Morris; older children, Nathan Morris, Jeptha Morris, Molly Yarborough, Betsy Henby, Fanny Beverly, and Lydia Pistole; youngest children, William Airly Morris and Patsy Morris. Jun 22, 1772, William Morris received a land grant in Anson Co., NC, for 100 acres on the Rocky Fork of Hichcock's Branch, adjoining lands of William Legget, the grant was surveyed Mar 20, 1772. Chainbearers were Jacob and Joseph Morris. Situated in now southern Richmond County, on May 19, 1774, William Morris, Jr., and wife Pherabee sold the land to Nathaniel Williams. Wit: Jonathan Lewalling and Thomas Mayer. William Morris received a Land Grant, surveyed Jul 10, 1773, entered May 24, 1773, and issued Jul 23, 1774 for 100 acres on Bair Branch, Anson Co., NC. On Jan 2, 1776, William and wife Pherebee sold this land grant to Laughlin Curry. Wit: Robert Webb and Anguish Curry. |
