Sometime after 1795, he married Martha Rebecca Ann Nance of Anson County, NC (1773 Mecklenberg Co VA - ?). She was the widow of William Mask (ca 1769 Goochland Co. VA - ca 1795 Anson County, NC) with whom she had several children, including Miles W. Mask, (1794-?), who married Louise Boggan. The children of William Morris and Martha Nance were: 1. Patsey; 2. William Airley (1800-after 1844)

Jun 22, 1772, William Morris received a land grant in Anson Co., NC, for 100 acres on the Rocky Fork of Hichcock's Branch, adjoining lands of William Legget, the grant was surveyed Mar 20, 1772.

Chainbearers were Jacob and Joseph Morris. Situated in now southern Richmond County, on May 19, 1774, William Morris, Jr., and wife Pherabee sold the land to Nathaniel Williams. Wit: Jonathan Lewalling and Thomas Mayer.
