Here's some info that I thought you may be interested in: From 1787 NC State Census of Wilkes Co.:

Mary, Thomas, Caleb, William, S'Berry, Issac, Isaac, Jr., Milly, and Joseph are listed as heads of households. In total, there are 50 people in these households, all Lowe's I would presume. Mary has 5 in her household, including herself.

From the will of William (d. June 1780):

last wife was Mary

sons were Isaac, Iseah, John and David

Per the will, William lived in Bedford Co. VA previous to living in Wilkes Co., NC. This helps to give some credence to my previously posted theory on the VA connection.

Also, see the January 2, 1999 post by Suzy McCoy that ties a part of the Lowe family to VA, Pasquotank Co. NC, Chowan/Halifax Co. NC, Orange Co. NC, Randolph Co NC, and to several counties in GA and TN. I think this is the missing link! Now, if I could only locate the link that ties my Lincoln Co Lowe family to this part of the Lowe family, I'd be very happy.
