William Albert Kifer, of 635 Warden street, Irwin, died suddenly at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon while at work in the Pennsylvania Railroad car shops at Pitcairn. He was 57 years old. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Singer Kifer; a son, Clifford, of Irwin and one daughter, Mrs. Loretta Edwards, of Ridgeway. Three brothers, Homer, of Manor; Joseph and Simon, of Pitcairn, and four sisters, Mrs. Grace Wolfe, of Greensburg RD 3; Mrs. Elsie Lauffer, of Norvelt; Mrs. Fannie Raymaley, of Wilkinsburg and Mrs. Mae Bushyager, of North Girard and one grandchild also survive. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Irwin.
Friends will be received at the Rodgers Funeral Home, Irwin, from where funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock in charge of Rev. George A. Shults. Interment will be in Brush Creek Cemetery.
