1841 - difficult to find on 1841 census. There was a William Kelly, aged 12, living in a household with Ann Kelly (39). the head of the household was a carpenter but looks like 'William Reed, 45' on the census form.

1851 - Found on census (spelt 'Kelley', 22, carpenter), living with wife Susan (dress maker, 20), and daughter Elizabeth (8 months) living at 31 Upper Edward Street, Brighton.

1861 - Found on census (spelt 'Kelly', 33, carpenter), living with wife Susan (31) and Daughter Alice (4) at 14 M--- street, Brighton.

1871 - found on census living in Brighton, Sussex, England. Family =William (42, joiner/wood), Susan (41, wife), Annie (Daughter, 9 b Brighton), William (son, 7, b Brighton), George (son, 1, b Brighton).

1881 - age 54, widowed, found living with his 13-year old son George at 32 Sun Street Brighton, Sussex, England. Note that the Gaston family were also living at this address (but not in the same household) in 1881.

1891- found in workhouse, Brighton.

Death notice for William Kelly aged 66 later that same year.
