    Jane Evans d. July 04, 1745, the first victim of the epidemic. which may have started either at her husband's or at her father's inn. Her sister Elizabeth was the next victim. Jane had married William Jones, son of John Jones (b. Penmaen, Merioneth, Wales). She appears to have been unusually young when she married William Jones as she is mentioned, apparently, in her mother in law's will written in 1739. She had no known children. William Jones appears to have married secondly Sarah Foulke.

    John Jones had a first, unknown wife. John Jones married, second, Margaret Hillborn (widow, nee Atkinson) under the care of Chester MM. He is not the John Jones who dies in Worcester twp and leaves a will (G 231), proved 1748 (with wife Elizabeth). John Jones, with wife Margaret, has one known child - William Jones who married Jane Evans and perhaps also Sarah Foulke.

    Gwynedd MM 57-3. 1769-4-25. Sarah Jones (wife of William) and children, John and William, received on certificate from New Garden MM dated 11-5-1768.
