William Harvey Jones, known as "Harve" Jones by family and friends was born and grew up in Ash Grove, Missouri, helping his father on the farm. When he was 17 he moved with his family to Arkansas. They traveled back and formth between Missouri and Arkansas after that (as you can see by the birth places of the children in the 1900 Census.
