-14 Dec 1715 Joseph James of Newport, tanner, & Hannah his wife for £12 to my brother William James of [Por]tsmouth blacksmith 90 acres land being 1/4 part of 360 acres land [burn] Honoured father William James deceased purchased [burn] of Kingstown, the 360 acres divided equally between [burn] of his sons could sell between one another. This 360 acres was given in the will of William James to his 4 sons. Reference to will of our honoured father William James Newport dated 19 Oct 16[burn]. Said land bounded: N [burn] Willcocks, Jeremiah Boss [burn] Rogers and James Rogers, E [burn] river, S Capt. John Stanton [burn] Beaver river. -John James of [burn] Cordwinder and Ann for £15 to my brother William James of [burn] said colony blacksmith 90 acres land [partly] in Kingstown & partly in Westerly the said 90 acres being a Quater [of t]he whole track of 360 acres land [burn] honoured father William James purchased of Hen[burn] Kingstown and in his last will and testam[ent] [burn] bequeath the whole track of 360 acres in equal divisions amongst 4 of his sons.
