Greensboro News & Record (NC) - December 2, 1993 Deceased Name: WILLIAM R. ISLEY William Robert Isley, 78, of 215 College Road died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1993, at Wesley Long Community Hospital.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at Guilford Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Richard Hipps and the Rev. T.W. Estes. Interment will follow in New Garden Cemetery.

He was retired from Mock Judson and the Raines Bi Rite Super Market. He was a member of Guilford Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Surviving are wife, Rebecca Isley Isley of the home; three sons, Dr. R. Arnold Isley of Snellville, Ga., Dr. W.L. "Bill" Isley of Overland Park, Kan., and James "Jim" Isley of the home; six grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Crews of Kernersville; three brothers, Charles Isley and Herbert Isley, both of Summerfield, Hubert Isley of Oak Ridge.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 tonight at Forbis & Dick Guilford Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Guilford Baptist Church Building Fund, 5904 W. Market St., Greensboro, N.C. 27409.
