- My crop of corn, fodder, wheat, and oats both in the house and growing in the field to be sold to pay debts.
- Legatee: Nancy Wilds 1 negro for life enumerated personalty; the former to her lawful issue, or failing such to Irby Hudson son of Irby.
- Brother: Irby Hudson 100 acres adjoining him on Stony Creek, including the building whereon I now live, 1 horse, 1 negro.
- Brother: Tutle Hudson the remainder part of my land, 1 negro.
- Sister: Penelope Hudson 1 horse, the use of 1 negro for her life and then to her lawful issue, failing such to Sally Hudson dau. of Irby.
- Legatee: Sally Hudson dau. of Irby 1 bed and furniture.
- Legatee: Penelope Young one cow and calf.
- Brothers: Irby and Tutle Hudson the labor of 1 negro for their lives and then to the survivor.
- All the balance of my estate not disposed of, including my outstanding debts.

Military Service
- Data on file in Archives Dept., State Library. "I do hereby certify that William Hudson was a Sergeant in the Contl. line, serving in Captain Thomas Ruffin's Company, the first of Feb., 1776, and that he was promoted as an Ensign some time in the year 1777." Signed, Baker Pegram made oath as to truth of affadavit. Signed, John Pegram.
- "I certify that I was early in 1778, appointed a Lieut. in Capt. Alexander Rose's company, belonging to the 6th Va. Regt.; that I saw William Hudson named on the list as a Supernumerary Captain, at the arrangement on the White Plains." Signed, 4 Aug., 1807 by John Cole, Lieut. in 2nd Va. Regt. Made oath to the above affidavit before John Pegram, Justice, 4 Aug., 1807.
- Baker Pegram further made affidavit: that "William Hudson was frequently at my house in the year 1779. He told me that he still held his commission. He generally appeared in the neighborhood in the uniform of an officer." Signed 31st Aug., 1807 by Baker Pegram. Attest, John Pegram, J. of P.
- "That William Hudson was acting in the service of his country as a Lieut. in the year 1780", signed, and sworn to before John Pegram, J. of P. by William Lanier, Leiut.
- Notice. No warrant appears to have issued to William Hudson for service in the Contl. line. William Price, Register land office, Sep. 3, 1807.
