Conflicting information regarding different William Houston's

There were apparently two different William Houston's that have been confused with each other. This William Houston married Susannah Long, the other married Hannah Sherrill, daughter of Adam Sherrill.

There were two William Houston's in Greene Co. early. The William Houston that married the Sherrell left Greene Co. The William Houston that was the son of James married in 1798 Susan Long. This family remained in Greene Co., TN. and raised a large family.
