A Sad Death

Again the Angel of Death has visited our community, this time taking from us one who is young in years and who had a very bright future before him. The sad news of the death of William Hoot, who for the past ten days has been fighting for life with a severe case of pneumonia, came Wednesday p.m., September 1, 1909. His case has been watched by everyone in town and the surrounding country, as he was a good husband, father and citizen, and all were anxious to hear of his condition, eager to learn of his improvement, but to the contrary; as the one who does all things well, saw fit to call him from his earthly home, which was one mile north and one half mile east of Risingsun.

William Hoot was born in Wood CO, OH, July 29, 1880, making him 29 years, 1 month and 2 days of age. He was married to Zadie Bower, in 1902, to which union was born one sone and four daughters, the youngest of which is about three months old. Besides his wife and children, he leaves: a mother, Mrs. Noah Rinebolt, a half brother, Bernard Rinebolt, west of this place, one half sister, Mrs Charles Knisely, near Prairie Depot; two step sisters, Mrs. Tom Bates, Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Ross Harley, Fremont, and a host of friends who mourn their loss. The family have the heartfelt sympathy of the surrounding country.

The funeral will be held at the U.B. Church, Friday morning, at 10 o'clock standard time. Conducted by Reverand Bishop. Interment, Graham Cemetary.
