Henry County, MO Probate Records: February Term, 1842. The Bond of Alexander Gragg administrator of the estate of William Gragg, dec'd taken by the clerk in vacation, was presented to the court approved and received.
Henry County, MO Probate Records: November Term, 1842. On motion of Alexander Gragg, the court doth appoint him Guardian of John T. Gragg infant heir of William Gragg dec'd, whereupon the said Alexander Gragg, with Squire Crowly and John L. Wright his securities entered into & acknowledged Bond in the penalty of One hundred Dollars, Conditioned as the law directs which Bond was approved by the [court] as sufficient.
Henry County, MO Probate Records: November Term, 1842. William R. Owen, presented an account against the Estate of William Gragg deceased amounting to $3250/100 and the administrator present and waiving notice, the Court doth allow the sum of $27.91 of said account.
Henry County, MO Probate Records: November Term, 1842. Alexander Gragg administrator of the Estate of William Gragg decd. presented his petition accompanied by an Exhibit of his administration showing to the Court, that the assets accruing from the personal Estate of his intestate, are insufficient to pay the debts due by said estate, and praying for leave to sell part of the Real Estate of his intestate, for the purpose of paying the debts due by said Estate, Whereupon it is ordered by the Court, that all persons interested in said estate, be notified to appear here on the first day of the next Term of this Court, and show cause to the contrary, or an order will be made permitting the administrator of said Estate to sell the NW¼ of the S.E qr. of Section 32 Township 41 of Range 27, and it is further ordered that the said administrator publish notice hereof according to law.
Henry County, MO Probate Records: November Term, 1842. Ordered that the administrator of William Gragg deceased pay over to Selana M. Wright, late Selina M. Gragg widow of said William Gragg decd., the sum of $150 including the amount heretofore received by her in property, if so much remains in his hands of the personal estate of his Intestate.
Henry County, MO Probate Records: May Term, 1843. Now at this day comes into court Alexander Gragg admr. of the estate of William Gragg decd., and having produced satisfactory evidence of his having complied with the law in relation to the petition for the sale of the Real Estate of said deceased, and the order of this Court. It is therefore ordered and adjudged that he proceed to sell at public sale the Real estate in said petition mentioned to wit, The North west quarter of South East quarter of Section No. 32, Township No. 41 and Range No. 27, containing 40 acres, also the South East quarter of North East quarter of Section No. 31, Township No. 41 of Range No. 27, containing forty acres. It is further Ordered that the said public sale be made at the Court House down in the town of Clinton during the sitting of the County Court of said County of Henry in the first day of the next August Term thereof on a credit of six months.
