    William Gilson was the guardian of John Damon and his sister Hannah. John and Hannah were the children of William's sister. They were in Plymouth possibly as early as 1628. William Gilson settled in Scituate in 1633. He died in 1639, leaving legacies to his widow (the widow died in 1649), his pastor, and his nephew (John Damon) and niece (Hannah Damon). The widow is not named.
