The Censuses of 1800, 1810, 1820, and 1830, when taken together indicate that William Gambrell had thirteen (13) Children, Eight (8) Sons, and Five (5) Daughters.

On April 1, 1835, William Gambrell received 200 Acres of land in Greenville District, South Carolina from William and Elizabeth Arnold.

    From an affidavit dated June 6, 1878, supported by a Bible Record, by Mrs, A. F. Maddox, submitted in connection with a Claim of Widow For Service Pension for the War of 1812, by Nancy, widow of John Gambrell (son of William Gambrell): states that William Gambrell and Sarah Stone were married on January 2, 1794. Mrs. Maddox States that she is the daughter of Mastin Nabors and his wife Mary Gambrell, daughter of William and Sarah Gambrell.
