According to an IGI record, William Henry Fowler and Elizabeth Mattingly had a son Thomas Henry Fowler 1847-1914 who married Margaret Cunningham in 1878.

 According to the Illinois State Archives, Wm Fowler married 'Elizabeth Matkingly' in Adams Co., Illinois in 1842.
 I believe he had 4 children with Elizabeth: Martha 1841-, John 1842-1868, Mary 1845-?, and Thomas Henry 1847-1914.
 There is a record of William Fowler, who died 31 Jan 1848 at age 36 years, 10 months, and 4 days, in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Union, Fulton Co., Illinois. There are also records for his son Thomas, his wife Margaret, and for John O. Fowler, died 25 Nov 1868 at age 25 years, 9 months and 24 days -- who I believe may also be his son.
