The Daily Times-News on Thursday, December 23, 1971 W. S. Foster Is Claimed By Death William Stafford (Bo) Foster Sr., 61, of 1105 S. Church St., well known businessman and veteran hosiery and textile official, died unexpectedly Wednesday night at o'clock at his home.

A native of Alamance County, Mr. Foster was the son of the late Charles Francis and Martha ISLEY Foster. He was the husband of Mrs.. Hazel Howard Foster, who survives, and was a member of Davis Street United Methodist Church. Associated with the hosiery and textile industry for 43 years, he was secretary treasurer of Flexon Fabrics Inc., vice president of Flexion Finishing Inc. and secretary treasurer of Hazel Knitting Mills. He also was chairman of the local board of directors of NORTHwestern Bank and was an officer and director of Sandpiper Motel Inc and Sea Island Motel Inc. of Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was a member of the Alamance Wildlife Club.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters. Mrs.. Martha Jean Nuckles and Mrs. Margaret Joan Young, both of Myrtle Beach, S C one son, William S. Foster Jr.. of Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. J. B. Coble, Mrs.. R. F. ISLEY and Mrs.. E. V. Todd, all of Burlington; two brothers, Clifford T. Foster and C. Linwood Foster, both of Burlington; and eight grandchildren.

Final rites will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Davis Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. R. E. L. Moser, pastor, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Mortuary m Burlington until taken to the church for the service. The family will be at the mortuary tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those wishing to do so may make a contribution to their favorite charity.
