William Lowry Farmer, 85, of 419 Altoona Heights, died Friday night in Pulaski Community Hospital. Born April 23, 1890, in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late George Farmer and Clara Bentley Farmer and a retired contractor. He is survived by his widow, Betsy Ann Anderson Farmer; six daughters, Mrs. Irene Brock, Mrs. Adelia Daugherty, Mrs. Lucille Bowyer, and Mrs. Doris Graham, all of Pulaski, Mrs. Mildred Jones of Lithia, VA, and Mrs. Shirley Lanier of Atlanta, GA; and three sons, Claude D. Farmer and Walter E. Farmer, both of Pulaski, and Roy G. Farmer of Radford. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Nannie Moore and Mrs. Ruth Cox, both of Pulaski, and Mrs. Georgia Killen of Columbus, OH; one brother, David Farmer of Pulaski; 15 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The funeral will be held today at 11 am at Dora Highway Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Edgar O'Dell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. Friends may call at Stevens Funeral Home in Pulaski today and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
