Robert Eugene Warren: Bill Engle was an engineer for the Pittsburgh-Altoona crack train for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Social Security No: 716-14-0935

His application for a marriage license to his second wife lists his father's first name as 'Fred' and his father's birthplace as Germany. Death notices appeared in the Pittsburgh Press and the Pittsburgh Post Gazette as well as the Latrobe Bulletin. Buried in Allegheny Cemetery.

Latrobe Bulletin, Thursday, May 18, 1972, p. 11: "William A. (Frank) Engel, 94, died at the Masonic Home, Elizabethtown, Pa., on Wednesday. His wife, Luella Doughty Engel, preceded him in death. He was a retired railroad engineer.He is survived by one daughter, Hannah E. Frank, and one sister, Adah Hopper. Friends will be recieved from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Winter Funeral Home, 4730 Friendship Ave., Pittsburgh, where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Masonic Home Building Fund, Elizabethtown, Pa., or to U.P. Home for Children, Mars, Pa."
