    Sir William Edmondstone of Culloden was the son of Sir Archibald Edmonstone.2 He married Lady Mary Stewart, daughter of Robert III Stewart, King of Scotland and Annabel Drummond, in 1425.3 He died circa 1462. He was buried at Strathbane Church, Scotland.4
    In 1445 he was granted the lands of Duntreath, which long served as the chief seat of the family.5 He lived in 1445 at Duntreath, Scotland.4
