Hartland Observer Issue date November 25, 1910 reports William Downey of Wapske being lost in the wilds of the Tobique and Miramichi for 96 hours. It reports that he was 45 at the time. It says he was a native of Brighton parish, Carleton County. At the time he was lumbering with Edward Waugh on the headwaters of Wapske. copy in my files - Given to me by Jean Smith - K.H.
