William DONALD of Lyleston was b. 1711 and married Susannah ALLAN, daughter of John Allan (information, J. Donald). They married 21dec1757 at Cardross (Latter day saints). John Allan was minister of Row. See <http://lu.softxs.ch/mackay/Couples5/C33975.html> Susanna Allan (b. 25jun1731), daughter of John Allan (1683 Kilmadock, Perthshire-7may1765), min of Row, and Anna Wallace (dau of Archibald Wallace, min of Cardross) marr 3oct1728), marr William Donald of Lylestown dec1758; Susanna’s brother John also became minister of Row (Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae). William’s daughter Catherine (chr 14jan1765, Greenock, IGI) inherited Lyleston in 1852 when Mrs Donald (her sister in law?) died. Catherine/Catie Donald married John McAlister (13apr1762-26jan1832), 20jul1793 at Cardross (IGI), and had a son William McAllister (later McAllister-Donald) (30oct1797 Bonhill, Dunbartonshire (IGI)-1880 Helensburgh).
