If Lewis was born in 1868, he should have been on the 1870 census, but wasn't. I have come to think that William L one month old (in 1870) is the same person as Lewis on the 1900 census record.

    Why the book has William L. STOUT is unknown but the C.W. as father is a misreading of the Stone and should be G. W.
