Evidence for this son of Luther and Susanna (Allen) Conant includes an unidentified male under 10 with Luther on the 1810 census and the abstract of his Revolutionary War pension. "Conant, Luther, Susannah, W18970, MA Line; Soldier applied 21 April 1818 Franklin County, MA, a resident of Shutesbury MA aged almost 60; In 1820 soldier had a wife Susannah aged 53 & children: Willliam 17, Lois aged 12 & a granddaaughter Susannah Allen Conant aged 3; Widdow applied 4 August 1838 at Worcester County MA.; Soldier m. Susannah Allen on 24 May 1787; Both were of Oakham MA & a James Allen was Town Clerf of Oakham in August 1838 but no relationship to widdow was stated; Soldier died 30 May 1830 at Shutesbury, Mass."
