Joined the Salem church before late 1636, freeman 17 May 1637 in a list of Salem men.

William Bowne was granted a planter's lot at Gravesend, Long Island on 18 Mar(?) 1646. [Gravesnd TR 1:4]

He died intestate and his "eldest son" John Bowne of Middletown, New Jersey made the application for letters of administration on 21 January 1677/8.

Also called the "Recovery of London" and sometimes listed as a 1633 ship, as the list of passengers was erroneously dated 31 March 1633 instead of 1634. Many of its passengers briefly settled in Dorchester and were among the first settlers to Windsor, Connecticut in 1635.
