  12. Found on Franklin County, Indiana's 1st tax list of 1811 (family lore)., As told by George Washington Bogart in the "BOGART-BALL LINEAGE": "William, my grandfather, was born in January 1803, and grew up on his father's farm to the age of20 (1823) and was married to Mary Preston, of English and Scotch parentage. She was born in March 1803. They secured land in Tennessee where they spent most of their life. They eventually moved to Pike County, Illinois where they died.Their family consisted of seven boys and four girls as follows according to their ages: George, Jane, Charles, William, Henry, Sarah, Moses, Margaret, Andrew, Elisha., My grandfather late in life sold his farm in Tennessee and moved toPine County, Illinois, where he died in 1865.", COMMENT: It is indicated that William's father was also William Bogart (b. 1760 in Virginia) who moved to East Tennessee.
