    I William Bigg of Caddington Bury in the Parish of Caddington in the County of Hertford Farmer do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First I give will and bequeath to my Son William Bigg all and singluar my Stock in the Farming Business Monies Securities for Money Goods Chattels Rights Credits and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature and kind soever To hold to him my said Son William Bigg his Executors Adm[iniatrat]ors & Assigns But nevertheless subject to and charged with and for the payment of all my just debts Funeral Expences the Probate of this my last Will and incident charges attending the same and also of the several Sums of Money or Legacies hereafter mentioned (that is to say) I give to my daughter Elizabeth Bigg ten pounds a year duing the time that she shall remain unmarried to be paid her by four equaly payments on the four most usual days of Quarterly Payment (that is to say) Lady Day Saint John the Baptist St Michael the Archangel and Saint Thomas the first payment to be made on the first day of Quarterly payment that shall happen after my decease And from and after her marriage I do direct that the said Payment of Ten Pounds a Year shall cease and determine and instead thereof my said son William Bigg his Executors or Administrators shall pay unto my said daughter the sum of Four shillings every Week if demanded during her natural Life the first payment to be made on the first Week of her Marriage and any receipt signed with her own hand shall be a sufficient discharge for the same And I do direct and order that the said Weekly payment of four Shillings shall be paid to no other person without the Consent of my said Son William Bigg his Executors or Administrators Also I give to my Son in Law Richard Hall the Sum of Twenty pounds to be paid him within twelve months next after my decease Also I give the Sum of Eight Pounds to my Servant Elizabeth Hall to be paid immediately after my decease And I do nominate constitute and appoint my said Son William Bigg Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke and make void all Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do publish and declare this and no other to be my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of paper In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourth day of May in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and ninty two W[illia]m Bigg (LS) Signed Sealed Published and declared by he said Testator William Bigg as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in the presence of the Testator and of each other have hereunto set our hands, John Axell - Samuel Hickson

    This Will was proved at London the seventh day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and ninety three before the Worshipful George Harris Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Honorable Sir William Wynne Knight also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of William Bigg the Son of the deceased and sole Executor named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased having been first sworn duly to administer.
