Oswego Palladium-Times, 23 Feb 1949: WILLIAM R. BAMBURY Pulaski-- William R. Bambury, 63, died early Tuesday morning at his home on the Orwell-Powerhouse RD in the Town of Orwell. He had been in poor health for some time past. Funeral services will be held from his home... Thursday by the Rev. Robert Rowsam, Orwell Union Church, and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. He was born in Orwell Oct. 3, 1895, son of James and Eliza Male Bambury, both parents coming from England. He had been a farmer all his life in this vicinity and was a member of the Ricard Grange and the Orwell Fish and Game Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Roser Bambury; a step-daughter, Mrs. Beulah Dodge, Adams; a stepson, Norman Bush, Orwell; a sister, Mrs. Anna B. Parker, Pulaski; and two brothers, Elwin Bambury, Phoenix and Ernest Bambury, Schenectady. He is the third brother to die within about a year, Fred and James Bambury having predeceased him.
