    Case 804: Baker - William 1676-June 24.

    Will of "William Baker of Boston ... pumpmaker", dated 25 Feb 1670/71, proved 24 Jun 1676, gives "Pilgrim my now wife" all estate during her life, if she marry then one third and remainder being divided among children, at her decease divided among children. Wife to be executrix, friend Mr John Blake to be overseer.
    23 Jun 1676 ["24:4:76"]: Inventory "of the Estate of William Baker of Boston deceased in May Late 1676": £124:15:06 plus 4 shillings added, by Robert Sanderson, Henry Allin, John Blake.

    WILLIAM, Boston, pump-maker, m. 23 Sept. 1651, Mary, d. of Edmund Eddington, had Mary, b. 16 May 1652, d. at 3 mos.; John, 14 Dec. 1653; and William, 19 Oct. 1655. His w. d. 12 Dec.er foll. and he m. 22 Apr. next, Pilgrim, eldest d. of John Eddy of Watertown. But gr. uncert. or confils. appears after this, for Bond, 203, and 755, makes a doubt, whether she were w. of P. Stedman bef. or after Baker. Yet she was young, when B. m. her, and he rem. prob. to Concord, and there he or ano. William d. leav. wid. Mary and s. William. His inv. is of 17 June 1679.
    [Note: the death in 1679 and widow Mary belong to another William Baker. No evidence that he ever moved to Concord.]
