OBITUARY: William Ellis Aday Dies, Rites Today William Ellis Aday, 79, retired Hunt County farmer who for many years resided near Caddo Mills, died at 8 o'clock Saturday evening at his home, 3111 Barling Street. He had been in failing health for two years. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the James-Coker-Peters chapel, with Rev. Joe Newby officiating. Burial will be in East Mount cemetery. A native of Dallas county, Mr. Aday was born on July 8, 1876, the son of Andrew and Polly Aday. He resided near Caddo Mills for a number of years, being a successful farmer and community leader. He was married to Ophelia Jones at Rockwall in 1899. Surviving are one son, Jesse P. Aday, Greenville; two grandchildren, Mrs. Lee Hassell, Greenville and Mrs. Dewey Walker, Lamarque; two brothers, Henry and Jim Aday, Oklahoma City; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Hart, Oklahoma City. His wife and two daughters preceded him in death. |
