He said that James Henderson in the clerks office births was not Jewels or part of his family. It maybe that he died before Willard was born or while he was still a baby. WILL have to check this info. Willard told me that he worked for Exxon and the City of Baytown and worked for the Railroad in Baytown, Tx. He has a wash tub basen that is 130 yrs old that belong to his parents. It sets in his hallway at his house in Henderson, TX. Willard went from Corsicana to Houston. Lived with Buck for a long time. Buck would start fights and Willard would have to finish them. July 2001; took mom and Aunt Betty to his house for a visit. Called Jr to see if he could come by. His apt was being painted. Called Irene (dau) she was busy. Did not get much more info from that visit. It was good that Tippy saw him after all these many years. Obit: Willard J. Henderson Sr. Funeral services for Willard J. Henderson Sr., 91, of Henderson, will be held at 2pm Sepet 15, 2006, at Crawford-Crim-Bryan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Sceroler and Rev. John Wahl officiating. Burial will be in Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-Crim-Bryan Funeral Home in Henderson. Mr. Henderson died Sept. 12, 2006, in Tyler. He was born March 22, 1915, in Waxahachie, was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and had been a meter repairman. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, Sept 14, 2006, at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Jewell Jones Henderson and Dovie Jackson Henderson; five brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include: three sons, Willard Henderson Jr. of Henderson, Gene Henderson & wife Doris, of Highlands, Texas and Willie Henderson of Pearland, Texas; daughter Irene Yarborough & husband Curtis Yarborough of Henderson and x-wife Irene Henderson of Henderson; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
