Obit: Mrs. Dovie Henderson, 78 of 602 Battlebell Rd in Highlands died at 10:30 PM Wednesday in a Galveston hospital. She had been a resident of Highlands 33 years. Survivors include her husband, Jewel J. Henderson of Highlands; 6 sons, William C, John D, Talmage, and JC Henderson all of Highlands; Willard J Henderson of Baytown and Alvis Henderson of Corsicana. 26 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survivor. Services were to be held at 4pm Friday at Earthman Highlands Chapel with the Rev. Ed Weatherly officiation. Burial was to be in Memory Gardens. Grandsons were pallbearers, William, John, Frank, Jack, Willard Jr and Willie Henderson.
