Willamina "Mina" Hizer Loughner, 89, of Export, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, in West Haven Nursing Home, Apollo. She was born April 12, 1919, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late George E. and Wilhelmina Yurt Hizer. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Loughner; a son, Marvin L. Loughner; four sisters, Henrietta, Georgia, Genevieve and Elizabeth; and a brother, Robert. Mina was a member of Poke Run Presbyterian Church of Washington Township, where she enjoyed being active in social gatherings and functions concerning the church. She loved to bake and spend time in her garden, especially planting flowers. Mina will be sadly missed by her youngest granddaughter, Shelby, who spent a lot of time with her grandmother baking cookies and playing games. When Mina moved in with her son Donald and his family, Shelby became her personal nurse, which formed a loving bond that will live on in Shelby forever. She is survived by her loving children, Walter Loughner Jr. and wife, Sharon, of North Versailles, Willamina "Sissy" Speck and husband, Paul, of Tennessee, Donald H. Loughner and wife, Tammy, of Export, Esther Bankage and husband, Leo, of Norytown, Pa., Vivian Shearer and husband, Harland, of Slickville, Ronnie Loughner and wife, Joy, of Baytown, Texas, and Ellen Hainan and husband, John, of Slickville; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Kardos, of West Newton; and several nieces and nephews.
